HLF School in Dire Need of Desks

Posted by Help Liberia Foundation on August 12, 2010

Our school in Africa, Help Liberia Foundation Community School, is in dire need of desks for the students.

The new school year starts next month, September, but there is serious problem with seating. Almost all of the school desks, which were fixed in 2007 through the financial assistance of Mr. David Turner, one of our sponsors and donors, have either been damaged or worn out.

Consequently, there is an urgent need to fix or buy new ones before the commencement of classes. The school needs about 50 desks to seat 100 students. Each desk costs $10, which means $500 is needed.

We are therefore appealing to all our sponsors and donors, as well as others interested in helping the children in the school, to assist us get these desks before the start of classes. Any assistance rendered the school in this endeavor will be greatly appreciated.
