Help Liberia Foundation Joins Nabuur

Posted by Help Liberia Foundation on April 03, 2010

Help Liberia Foundation is on Nabuur! The foundation’s village name on Nabuur is Buchanan, representing the location of our school in Liberia.

Nabuur is an online volunteering organization that connects local communities in developing countries (known as Villages) with volunteers from all over the world (known as Neighbors). Everyone works together not only in learning about one another, but also in sharing ideas and finding solutions to problems raised by the communities.

The Facilitator for Buchanan Village is Mary Smith from York in England. Mary has been working in the IT sector for more than twenty years. She is hard-working and committed to the cause of the foundation and the school in Liberia. She has been very helpful to the Village of Buchanan in numerous ways – setting up tasks, coordinating activities and participants, identifying possible sources of donations and so forth.

While Mary serves as the Facilitator, Paul serves as the Local Representative of Buchanan. Our organization joined Nabuur a few months ago.

We welcome new volunteers to join us on Nabuur so that we can work together to improve our school. You can see our current list of tasks and become part of the discussion by visiting the Buchanan Village Project Room.
