Help Liberia Foundation Gets New Officials

Help Liberia Foundation is pleased to announce the names of its four new officials. The four individuals - one American and three Poles - join the HLF executive team to continue the work of helping the people of Liberia.

The four new executives are Ms. Celeste Simmons of the USA, Ms. Justyna Maciuszek, Ms. Elizabeth Kocel and Ms. Joanna Oczkowicz, all of Poland.

Celeste attended the Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas. She now lives in New Jersey with her family. She is the Administrator of Cardiac Electrophysiology and works for the Electrophysiology Research Foundation, a non-profit organization. Besides, she has also spent considerable amount of time coordinating meetings of various non-profit organizations. Although Celeste is joining HLF in 2007, she is not new to the foundation. She has been assisting and interacting with the foundation since the first quarter of 2006. Mrs. Simmons is serving as the representative and contact person of the foundation in the United States.

Justyna and her family live in Stary Sacz, Poland, where she owns and manages a beauty salon. Justyna studied at C.U.E. PRYMUS. In the 1990’s she worked with an orphanage in Bytom and also worked for Caritas Poland in Stary Sacz in 2001. Justyna enjoys working with and helping people in need, especially children.

Elizabeth and her family live in Zabrze, Poland. Elizabeth has a master’s degree in economics, specifically, in Foreign Trade, from the Academy of Economics in Katowice, as well as a B.A. degree from Opole University, specializing in English Studies. At present, she works as an English teacher at a high school in Gliwice. She also works as a social worker at the Center for Disabled Youth in Wojtowa Wies, near Gliwice. Elizabeth has been interested in Africa since her high school days. She visited Africa, specifically, Senegal, a few years ago.

Joanna and her family live in Gorlice, Poland. Joanna is an economist and a social worker. At present she serves as the Director of one of the post-secondary schools run by C.U.E. PRYMUS, located in Nowy Sacz.
