Executive Director Meets With Evangelists and Church Leaders

The foundation’s Executive Director, Mr. Paul Y. Harry, had a special meeting with young evangelists and church leaders in the city of Buchanan on 16 July 2004 to discuss the foundation’s Bibile Training and Evangelism Program.

The meeting, which brought together about thirty evangelists and leaders from different churches and ministries as well as instructors from the Buchanan Bible College, was held at the Seed Faith Ministries on Preston Street. The meeting was arranged by Pastor Samuel Nimely. The meeting was held during Mr. Harry’s recent visit to Liberia.

Following a brief period of a praise-and-worship section, Pastor Samuel Nimely of the Jubilee Fellowship Ministries introduced the Executive Director and later welcomed him to address the audience. In his missage, Mr. Harry explained the nature, form, purpose and methods of implementation of the program to the participants. Following this was a question-answer section and general discussions during which the participants also made some suggestions on how to carry out the programs.

The following points, among others, were highlighted:

1. that churches and ministries be supplied/provided with Bibles, Bible commentaries, tracts, concordances, etc, free of charge
2. that a Bible correspondence course program be established and maintained at various schools and churches in order to encourage people study the Bible
3. that funds be raised and made available in the form od scholarships to people who are interested in studying at the Buchanan Bible College or at other Bible colleges in Liberia (The tuition and fees at Buchanan Bible College is about US$50)
4. that periodic conferences, meetings, seminars, workshops, etc, be held with grassroot churches and ministries in order to discuss Biblical topics and to promote evangelism
5. that relief assistance be part of the Bible Training and Evangelism Programs, as Christ provided both the spiritual and physical needs of His followers

The foundation is very grateful to the Pastor and members of the Seed Faith Ministries for allowing the use of their Building for the meeting, to Pastor Nimely who organized the meeting and to the participants themselves for their patience and many ideas and suggestions put forward during the meeting.

Help Liberia Foundation is appealing to all individuals and institutions who are interested in spreading the gospel to help the foundation’s Bible Training and Evangelism Program.

The foundation will also very highly be grateful to any individuals or institutions that will be willing to spend just US$50 to send a student to a one-year Bible college in Liberia.
